Our story started in Elena’s sister’s kitchen. Not the couch. The kitchen.

An important distinction, even though the couch is where we fell in love… and where Zack also fell in love with Daisy.

We “secretly” dated for about a week. By secretly, we mean not very well. And by dated, we mean hanging out on Zack’s couch while the world was still in the tail end of COVID.

Then Elena had to go back to Seattle, and Zack happily followed her. What began as an adventure turned into a chapter of our lives in the beautiful, whimsical Emerald City, with many, many trips back to SoCal and then back again. At some point, we stopped counting.

While we were both away from our families, we built one of our own in Seattle. A community filled with people who will always feel like family to us, no matter where we are.

We did our best to balance life between Seattle and SoCal, making sure we saw our families and friends and that they saw us too. It was always a little chaotic, until one day we realized it was time to come home.

So we did. Very quickly. If you don’t know the story yet, ask us about our wild escrow adventure. We landed back in SoCal just in time to create the most decorated house we’ve ever had for Christmas. We’re not keeping up with the Joneses. We are the Joneses. Or, you know, the Waldroups.
